Beginner here, Ikea carbon steel seasoning with vegetable oil in the oven  for one hour on 300F. The surface has become sticky. I washed it couple of  times before. Any advice? :

Don't waste good money getting into carbon steel pans. $30 for 11” @ikea.  Loving this durable one and thinking I'll add the 9” to my kitchen soon. :  r/carbonsteel

My All-Clad pan I have used regularly for 20 years has been looking a bit  grimy and sad so I used a bit of Bar Keepers Friend and it's good as new.
